User research is the process of understanding the needs, behaviors, and preferences of people to design and improve products or services. By talking to people like you, we can identify areas for improvement and develop products that are more user-friendly and effective.
What do you mean by “research study”?
A research study is a way to gather information about how people use Buildium. We collect this information using different methods like interviews, concept tests, and surveys.
How long are research sessions?
Some research studies are scheduled and completed virtually using Zoom, while others are completed on your own time and don’t involve face-to-face time. Zoom sessions typically last 30-60 minutes, and sessions on your own time take about 5-15 minutes.
How often will I be contacted for studies?
Our research team is active, with several studies running throughout the year. While we can’t guarantee a specific frequency of contact, you might hear from us a few times a month depending on which studies match your profile.
What information do you collect about me?
We collect basic information to match you with relevant studies. This may include your property management role (property manager, tenant, etc.) and any relevant experience. This information will be held in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You can request to review, update, or remove your information at any time. See “How do I remove myself from the user research panel?” below.
How will my information be used?
We take your privacy seriously. Any information you provide, including data gathered during research sessions, will be used solely to improve Buildium products and services. Please refer to our Informed Consent document for further details.
Will I be compensated for participating in research studies?
Not all studies offer compensation, but some do. If a study offers compensation for your participation, you will be paid with a virtual gift card. If you have any questions you can reach out to the study recruiter directly for more information.
What are the benefits of participating in user research?
Sharing your insights helps us improve Buildium and create a better property management experience for everyone. You may also get a sneak peek at new features and experiences.
How do I remove myself from the user research panel?
You can easily opt-out by replying to any study invitation email and stating you’d like to be removed. Alternatively, you can contact our research team directly at ashani.escoffery@buildium.com.
